Before I post the WOD, I want everybody to try an experiment for me this week.  This week is the week of regionals, which means it’s a stressful time for everyone. Between training, travel, and the competition itself it can be a lot for anyone to deal with. SO, what can we do to make this THE MOST AWESOME WEEK EVER?!  Glad you asked.

I’ve been doing some reading on the psychological part of sports and training, and I believe we need to focus on positivity this week. So, when you prepare to do your workout or when you are going through the workout, try to think POSITIVE. Yes, that’s right, this week we are going to eliminate negativity in the gym.  Phrases like, “I can’t,” “I won’t,” and “This is going to be awful,” are officially banned this week. Instead, you can comment on how much better you are getting, how you are looking forward to working on a weakness of yours, or how awesome your beach body is looking!

There is strong scientific evidence supporting positive thinking as a means to attain goals, lower stress, and allowing for better coping during hardships. I look forward to seeing everyone’s positive attitude tomorrow.

…by the way, we’re doing “Fran.”
